Home Page – About SASSI

The San Antonio Soaring Society is a non-profit club founded to provide soaring opportunities and training in the San Antonio area.  Supported by Boerne Stage Airport – SASSi has grown into a vibrant group with two club gliders, a tow-plane, and 8500 sq ft glider hangar!

Our assets are open to all club members, and available to the public for introductory “Discovery” flights.  Scheduling a “Discovery” flight is easy. Proceed to the “Contact SASSI” page and complete the form at least one week before you would like to fly. A SASSI representative will contact you within a day or two.

The club meets once a month at Boerne Stage Airport, typically the second Saturday at 09:30.  The meeting is open to everyone interested.

SASSI does have work flight scholarships available for youth between the ages of 14 to 22. The interested young person must apply, commit to working at least one day a weekend at the airfield and be recommended by a club member.

For more information, please send an email. A SASSI representative will get back in touch with you in a couple of days.
