SASSi’s primary glider is a Grob G 103C “TWIN III ACRO” glider. The club owns two.
The Grob G 103 C “TWIN III ACRO” is a two-seat mid-wing glider with a damped T-type tail. State-of-the-art technology is used to manufacture the glider in industrial fiberglass construction. It is used for instruction, training, performance, and aerobatic flights. The 2-section wing is triple tapered with airbrakes (Type GROB) on the upper side. The two seats are in tandem arrangement, and each is equipped with its own canopy that open to the right. The main wheel is non-retractable and equipped with a hydraulic disk brake.
SASSi Grob gliders are towed into the air by a tug aircraft using a cable connection in the nose. The tow cable release can be operated by either the front-seat or back-seat yellow cable release knobs.

SASSI uses an upgraded Cesena 150 powered by a 180 hp engine to tow the gliders into the air. Owned by SASSI and maintained and operated by club members, this aircraft is stored within the club hanger with the gliders.
